Any research conducted within University facilities, or undertaken by persons connected to the University, involving human subjects, animals or biohazardous materials must be reviewed and approved by the appropriate University Research Ethics Board (REB) or Animal Care and Use Committee (ACUC).  

The Research Ethics Office provides effective, integrated support for and administration of all aspects of the ethics review and approval process for research involving human participants and research, teaching and testing involving animals.
